Hemp Depot CBN Isolate delivers a versatile way to differentiate your product line by offering other naturally-occurring cannabinoids. The pure isolated crystalline powder contains only CBN with no other cannabinoids or plant material. The final processing step in the refinement of extracted oils can be provided in the form of an isolate fraction. The resulting white powder has almost no taste or aroma, is very consistent, solvent-free, and fully decarboxylated. The cannabinoid content is in the 99% range.

What Is CBN Isolate?
CBN, short for cannabinol, is one of the naturally-occurring cannabinoids found in cannabis. Considered as one of the “big six” cannabinoids prominent in research, CBN is a non-intoxicating compound best known as the cannabinoid created when THC ages. Since CBN is usually only present in higher amounts in older cannabis, it is often the most expensive cannabinoid to extract and isolate. CBN isolate is a type of CBN that’s been refined into powder form. The first step in bulk CBN production is the initial crude hemp oil extraction. This is completed through supercritical CO2 extraction. Our oil is then winterized, decarboxylated, and distilled in order to remove all of the undesired plant material including all terpenes, chlorophyll, lipids, waxes, and other non-cannabinoid plant compounds. Once our extractors have completed the oil distillation process, we further refine our pure full-spectrum distillate in order to remove all cannabinoid content except for CBN. The result is a highly-versatile CBN isolate crystalline powder that can be formulated across numerous applications.
CBN Isolate Benefits
The crystalline powder form ensures that each product formulation has a precise amount of pure CBN. CBN powders can be measured in milligrams for an easier formulation process. This oil-soluble CBN can be formulated into any oil-based product formulation or products free of oils and liquids. For water-based products, please refer to our water-soluble/nano-encapsulated products.
How Do You Make CBN Oil From An Isolated CBN Powder?
Simply combine our CBN Isolate with a carrier oil of your choice to create CBN oils and tinctures. Popular carrier oils include MCT oil, olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, and hemp seed oil. This provides better adaptability and customization options for your formulations.
Formulation Guidance for CBN Isolate
CBN has a smoke point at 365 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not exceed this temperature in the formulation process in order to maintain cannabinoid potency and quality. Our CBN Isolate may be sold in gram increments as a finished product directly to consumers. It is oil-soluble and is recommended to be formulated with carrier oils to improve bioavailability for ingestible products but this is not required. Shake well before formulating. From CBN vape cartridges to capsules, companies can utilize this product in a variety of ways in terms of formulations and dilutions.
